Happy Camper RV Alberta Ltd. was founded in the fall of 1990. The owners at that time were Bill and Renie Saunders and Renie's brother Greg Christakos a successful RV dealer from Saskatchewan. Bill had just retired from a 35 year career with the R.C.M.P., and his wife Renie had spent the previous 20 years selling real estate in the Edson area. Both looking for a new challenge, they decided to start a RV dealership in Edson.

The first couple of years were a learning experience, however through hard work and determination to succeed, they continued to build the business, adding a service shop and more space to better serve their customers. In 1993, Bill's son Rick who had been working in the business bought out Greg Christakos and became a full partner. Bill, Renie and son Rick continued to work together to build a company always putting a strong emphasis on good service and competitive pricing to draw customers into this small market area. Renie continued to run the accessory and parts store, each year adding more inventory to build one of the best RV accessory stores in Alberta.

As our experience progressed, so did our product line. We realized that our customers wanted value, but did not want to jeopardize quality, so we went after and obtained brands that were recognized for their superior quality, however price still being an important issue. Today we offer a very impressive line-up of fifth wheels, travel trailers and truck campers that is second to no one. Happy Camper RV is still commited to give you the best value and sevice in the industry.
